Wallkill River, New Paltz, NY

We tried out the new kayaks last weekend.  We wanted to play with them a little more, but didn't want the roughness of the Hudson River (it was pretty windy that day), so we headed for the Wallkill River out of New Paltz, NY.

A calm pleasant day on the Wallkill.  Met some nice people as we were unloading and setting up the kayaks for the day's paddle/pedal.

We went about 3 miles down stream, just past the foot bridge (old train bridge), stopped for lunch and then headed the 3 miles back to the car.
