Silver Lake, Rhinebeck, NY

We were looking for a new place to do a nice easy paddle.  We decided to go to Silver Lake in Rhinebeck, NY.

As far as we could tell there is only one place to get into the lake unless you own lake front property.  We headed south on Route-9G then made a left (turned east) onto Slate Quarry Rd (CR-19).  Continued east for about 2.6 miles and turned left (north) onto 5th Ave.  Opposite Orchard St. is a small parking area with access to the lake.

Silver Lake is a small lake.  We only saw small human powered boats while we were there.  We could see a lot of fish in the water, a few birds and a muskrat.
