The year 2020 got off to a very rough start.  Covid-19 has spread around the world.  And as of this writing (April 5, 2020) is well into its destructive and killing walk across the nation. The world will survive.  The nation will survive.  Only time will tell what they will look like after this virus has run its course. Due to very good friends or our’s, we got in a trip to Iceland before the almost all travel ground to a stop.  We have no idea what other travel or fun we will have as the year marches on.
Iceland February 20 - 25, 2020 Barbara & John with good friends Sallyann & Fred We were asked by Sallyann & Fred on New Year’s Eve if we wanted to join them on a short trip to Iceland. They were just looking into it and wanted to know if we were interested. We were! We stayed at Hilton Reykjavík Nordica in Reykjavík, Iceland. Reykjavík is the capitol and largest city in Iceland. Located on the south-west coast. I wish we had planned on more time. Beautiful country and very friendly people. Most seem to speak at least some English. We managed to see just a tiny bit of the country. I hope I get the chance to return. The only downside is the price of food. It is difficult to have a meal, even a basic ‘cheap’ one, for under $20 per person.
